Joel Heyard

Drummer / Producer / Songwriter


Joel Heyard started playing drums at the age of 14. After finishing his classical percussion and drum studies in Luxembourg he studied drums

at the Maastricht Conservatory with Arnoud Gerritse, Ron Van Stratum and Geert Roelofs and got a bachelor diploma in jazz drums.

Joel worked, played and still plays with different people :

Lance Lopez (Lucky Peterson),

Jamal Thomas (Maceo Parker), Patti Austin,

Barbara Dennerlein, Rolf Stahlhofen, Dave Weckl,

Phil Maturano,....


He played and still plays in different bands : First-h (L), Baby Chams (L),

The Gentles (L), Dreamcatcher (L), No Jacket Required (UK),

Jamal Thomas (US), Stroke X (L),...


Between 1998 and today Joel played with the different bands as support acts of:

Bon Jovi, Sting, Toto, Pink, ZZ Top, Söhne Mannheims, Candy Dulfer, Maceo Parker, Johnny Winter,...

Since 2004 Joel is also active as a songwriter and producer.

He is endorsed by Yamaha Drums and Stage Music Luxembourg

Joel is the co-owner of Mayfex, owner at JH Production and Publishing,

and co-founder of the Music label
